The March of Washingtons Distributes $5,000 for Pneumonia Drugs in Uganda

Together, malaria and pneumonia kill nearly 3 million children every year. The March of Washingtons is helping put a stop to this by purchasing medicines and conducting research of available treatments. To date, the March of Washingtons has distributed $50,000 for the purchase and distribution of high-quality antimalarial drugs in Uganda, and $15,000 for the purchase and distribution of pneumonia drugs in Uganda. The remainder has been used to collect and test antimalarial drugs available in African countries and raise awareness about the prevalence of substandard drugs in Africa.
